Looking for board members

We’re in need for a chairman and secretary!

1. she would like to empower the board to make Kumbatio Kenya their organization, instead of leaning on her as a mzungu. 
2. she has no time left for her own personal life, because she is also the chairman in The Netherlands which is a lot of work as a volunteer. 
3. as a Chief Visionary Officer, she will just be the gatekeeper to assure that all work is done according to the vision. In this way she doesn’t have to decide on things, just to advice on things. 

Board responsibility Kumbatio Kenya

The responsibilities are stated in the constitution, whereby the most important ones are:

• Members will govern and oversee the operations of Kumbatio Kenya through acting as fiduciaries (a person or organization that acts on behalf of another person or persons, putting their clients’ interest ahead of their own, with a duty to preserve good faith and trust).
• The members will be legally, financially and morally responsible for the whole organization (article 8). 
• The board is the policy organ and makes sure these policies are implemented by the manager of Kiota children’s support center (article 8.5)

• The board is responsible for the acts or ommissions of the roles assigned to the entire board and each board member in particular.
• Every board member is individually and legally liable for all the duties and responsibilities assigned to them (interpretation of article 8.10 of the constitution).
• Kumbatio Kenya is accountable to Kumbatio The Netherlands and has to follow the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Act,1990.
• The board and their members serve as an ambassador to work on networks who are willing to contribute to the vision of Kumbatio.
• The board sets the right example that they have a heart for abused children who need a safe and loving home, by putting efforts into their lives without financial benefits for themselves.
